Miri Tries a Legacy Chapter 10

“Uh, Aria Chun speaking.”

“Whoa, whoa whoa! What do you mean Johann is missing?”

“Uh huh, so the last thing you got from him was a phone call saying he was going to Takiemizu to find himself, but then he never made it there. When was he supposed to arrive again?”

“Yesterday. Okay. Yes, Aunt Chloe I’ll get on it right away and let you know as soon as I find out anything.” .

“Gotta say Aria you have really tripped this place out!’

Aria rolled her eyes. “Cello, our cousin is missing. Did he say anything to you about his plans for after college?”

“Not really.”

Aria raised an eyebrow. “Really? In the four years you lived with him…he didn’t talk about traveling after college at all?”

Cello laughed nervously. “Well see, I was kind of sort of expelled from Uni after the first semester.”

“YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!’

“Mrs. Chun! I apologize completely for this!”

Well when it rains it pours I guess. Welcome back to Miriville folks. As you can see we’ve got a bit of chaos going on at the moment. Johann my gen four spare took off right after college and no one seems to know where he is. Chloe my current legacy spouse is now even more worked up than she usually is, and has lassoed poor Aria Chun (the local head of the SCIA) into looking for him. And the new butler Renaud is trying to burn the house down.

My heir Amadeus missed the drama. He stayed locked up inside the tower building toy robots all evening. He’s decided he wants to own a business, and I’m inclined to let him.

My generation 2 heiress Sprite is proving to be very useful for running a business. The Chun’s now own a Robotic/Electronic Shop named Chuntastic. We managed to get it up to a level 3 this rotation.

In not so good news Cathy here has started stalking my Amadeus. She’s constantly heart farting him and walking into the house.

“Edith Courmenac! I knew from the moment we met she was the one destined for me.”

Hang on buddy boy…..flashes back to University……

“Women shouldn’t wear pants in public! My mother told me so.”

“What the hell is wrong with this guy….but is is kind of hot.”

“You like having a lot of best friends! No way! So do I!’

Amadeus: “It is amazing we have so much in common. Why don’t I take you to dinner next Friday. You do have a dress to wear right?”

“Are you from the Dark Ages? Or are you just some kind of pervert?”

Just when I thought things were going well too…he just had to bring up the dresses talk again….

 

“That Amadeus Chun is such a jerk! He is now on my enemy list for life!”

2 sim days later…..

“I’m in love!”

Sims…

“It still feels wrong having the wedding. That niece of ours is completely useless! I know her father is your brother, but….”

“Now Chloe, I’m sure Johann is fine. Aria will find him. It’s only be 2 days.”

“2 days! Our poor baby!”

And she wonders why the kid doesn’t want to come home.

No I didn’t take too many pictures of these two getting married.

Amadeus and Edith are cute together okay? Plus, Edith is so awesome! Okay, I know…after Chloe probably just about anyone would be, but really she is awesome. Trust me.

Cello and Amadeus are now best buddies. Of course if someone hadn’t gotten expelled from college that would have happened sooner.

“Hey if I hadn’t gotten expelled I’d still be stuck there as a placeholder for an entire generation.”

Yeah, well now I don’t have a placeholder at all.

“You could have pledged some random college person in like everyone else does.”

Hang on….did I just….no I didn’t. Nevermind.

“What?”

I said never mind. Sheesh.

“Excuse me?”

Yes Edith.

“What the hell is this thing?”

That’s a chemise. It’s what they used to sleep in back in the day.

“It’s a damn dress. And it itches.”

Yeah it does look really itchy.

“I’m burning it.”

*giggles*

You got fired???? You actually got fired?????

“How was I supposed to know asking the dean of academic studies to serve all the men in the room coffee before she started our meeting was inappropriate?”

*head desk*

Hey, Edith um…

“Yeah, yeah I know. My stupid mother in law’s upbringing got my husband fired from the education field. Luckily, I managed to help him get the job back with an apology.”

Sorry Edith.

“Oh I still love the goofball. Now his mother….”

*slams wrench*

Leaves Edith to tinker her heart out.

The family now has a sweet ride thanks to Edith!

Some residents still preferred using their feet to get where they were going. Sprite took a deep breath of fresh air. A lot of people might think that a woman her age wouldn’t be out hiking all over town, but Sprite loved hiking. Okay so maybe the old knees couldn’t quite take the hills like they used to, but she could still handle a walk down to the little cafe and back. And she intended to keep walking and enjoying nature until the old bones or the grave made her stop.

“You’re usual ma’am?”

“Yes dear. Blended strawberry orange juice.”

“Right away. One sec Joe…I’ll be right with you.”

After a blended juice, Sprite had started taking a few hours to soak up some sun and talk to the locals. Sometimes she’d even play a few games of chess. But that was hard going…Pony always seemed to pick the little cafe to practice her piano. And well the poor girl wasn’t getting any better at it.

“I’m glad you’re finally taking some time for yourself Sprite.”

“Well Sulli and I always talked about taking some time for just us, maybe visit the Island again. Take a balloon of all things! But family came first, and then we just ran out of time. His will made me promise to take some time for myself once he was gone. And I realized he was right. So I talked Chloe into hiring a butler once the boys moved off to college. Wasn’t too hard actually.”

“Ha! I’m not surprised. Chloe Gonzaga was always into looking important even as a kid. And she was always rather lazy. Oh I’m sorry.”

“Oh I know dear. After all these years how could I not? Boek is crazy about her though, and even with all her faults; I know she loves my son. And that’s all that counts I suppose. But I did have to get out of that house from time to time after losing Sullivan. I’d have gone crazy otherwise.”

“Good for you Sprite. And I’d wager you could take that balloon ride all the way to the Island if you wanted to.”

Sprite laughed, “You’re sweet Sandy. But I’m too old for something like that.” Wasn’t she?

 

Back at home…..

“Hey Miri?”

Yes.

“Is writing a love song for your wife on the drums considered inappropriate?”

No….And I actually think Edith would love that.

“So you really liked it?”

“Yes Deus. I really truly liked our song.”

“Okay good. So I was thinking about taking you on a honeymoon. That’s okay right? Taking my wife on a romantic getaway?”

“That sounds great. But I’m afraid it’s going to have to wait a bit.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m pregnant.”

Yep, generation 5 is on the way! That is awesome. Sorry, I just realized that I’m technically at the half-way point and I got really excited.

I feel like I ignore Boek a lot. But really he doesn’t do much. If he’s not locked in his tower working on the science medicine maker thing…he’s glued to the game table with his mom. Oh yeah and he take a phone call from his brother Fable about once a week.

Oh yeah he also spends time with the other ignored person. But that’s cause Chloe really bugs me. Of course she does even less with her time than her husband. Seriously most of the time she lounges around on her bed or in a hammock. Or she drinks tea at the tea table….I can’t write an update on just that!

And even though the Chun’s have a sweet ride, Edith wanted to restore another car,and I was like why not? And I have to say she’s having it really easy with pregnancy so far which is awesome.

“Hmmm…Edith’s been very worked up about finding the perfect name for the baby. I wonder why she doesn’t like Prudence or Leopold? Mother said they were lovely ideas. Of course Edith doesn’t really like……Wait! I know!!”

“Edith what do you think about……”

“So you found him?”

“For plumbob’s sake Cello! Turn the volume down before everyone in simnation knows I’m out here.”

*tears open paper bag*

“Sorry. So you found him?”

“I’m outside now. It’s got a huge wall around it. Trying to figure out how I’m gonna get in there.”

*smacks on potato chips. Slurps on soda* ” S’how did he end up in a place like that anyway?”

Miri Tries a Legacy Chapter 9

Fable: “You want me to leave the greenhouse for my nephew’s birthday party?”

*eye twitch*

Fable: “Alright. But I don’t see why calling you everyday isn’t considered keeping in touch.”

And welcome back to Miriville. The last time we were here Amadeus was about to become a teenager and the family was throwing a birthday party. Let’s check-in shall we?

A very formal birthday party thanks to our current legacy spouse Chloe.

Except I see Johann there seems to be fighting the establishment.

Wow I’ve just noticed that Beverly’s chin looks really awkward on the boys. Especially on poor Johann.

“Are you calling me ugly?”

No. I’m sure you’ll grow into that.

Amadeus grew into the nice sweater all on his own. He also rolled Fortune/Knowledge. He wants to one day become a Minister of Education. He’s turned on by blondes with mechanical skill, but doesn’t like beards. Okay good to know.

Chloe: “Who said you could come over greenbean?”

Fable thinking: “Why did I let my brother talk me into coming over here?”

Yep Chloe’s still a stuck up pain in the butt. She nagged before Fable the whole night. And Boek just kept that nice guy smile plastered to his face.

I decided I’d rather pay attention to Amadeus being cute and rocking out on his drum set than to his annoying mother.

Amadeus: “I got a job after school helping with the after school program. They needed extra playground monitors. The kids are going to adore my tie”

Yeah Deus here is gonna need to bypass those early levels of the Education career for sure. He just isn’t suited for elementary school.

Johann: “You’re actually letting me eat sweets?”

Chloe: “Of course not pumpkin. I’m teaching you how to resist any form of sweet temptation by baking the most incredibly sweet temptation there is.”

Johann: Dear Plumbob, keep me from the temptation of strangling my mother in her sleep. And please bring a swift end to this unbearable torment.”

*inhales Baked Alaska the minute Chloe’s back is turned.*

Chloe did master the cooking hobby and the plaque now resides with the rest of the earned plaques.

Johann: “Hey bro!”

Amadeus: “Good morning brother. Aren’t you going to get dressed?”

Johann: “In the Alexander Goth garb again. Are you nuts?”

Awww Amadeus made a best friend that’s nice. But today is Johann’s big day to become a teen. Let’s see how he turned out.

Boek: “Your mother wants you to look nice on your birthday Johann.”

Johann: “Father, I will go insane if I have to wear that suit and tie just once more.”

 

“Yes well we’ll miss you Fable. I’ll tell your mother you regret you couldn’t make it tonight. No, no I understand.. Hang on.”

“Now Boek it’s Johann’s birthday. Boys will be boys you know.”

“Thanks for intervening with mom and dad tonight Granpa!:

“No problem at all son. No problem at all.”

“Where’s Grandma?”

“Oh your gandma’s taken up flower arranging. She’s been going non-stop since she learned how to arrange snapdragons.”

“Morning grandpa!”

“Morning Johann. I see you’re ready to help me keep the place secure.”

“You bet!”

Amadeus: “It’s nice to have tea on this beautiful Saturday is it not brother?”

Johann: *slurps tea* “Yeah sure, sure. We leave for Uni in the morning right?”

Amadeus: “Of course.”

Amadeus: “Won’t you miss Meadow?”

Johann: “Are you kidding? There’s not a thing about this place I’m going to miss.”

“Well I mean except you. But you’re coming with me so that won’t count.”

Amadeus: “What about gandfather?”

Johann: “Oh yeah. I’ll miss him too.”

Sprite: “I love you Sulli Remember how we first met here at this park?”

Sull: “Sure do. I was here on vacation for the Island and you were out on a hike looking for exotic butterflies. As you were walking by, I decided you were the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. So I tried to impress you by dunking the ball. I fell flat on my face.”

Spirte: “I ran straight over.”

Sullivan: “And I kept on making a fool out of myself. But you still gave me your phone number.”

Sprite; “Of course I did. I knew from the moment I met you; that nut is meant for me.”

Sullivan: “Never thought about having anyone else?”

Sprite; “Never.”

You’re leaving me aren’t you?

Sullivan: “Afraid so Miri.”

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Sullivan: “It’s been fun. And don’t worry you’ll still have Sprite and the others around.”

But you’re not old enough…you’re barely 74 days old.

Death no I command you to leave Sullivan with us a little while longer! He’s too cool.

Take Chloe instead.

He didn’t listen to me. 😦

Sullivan Chun (Generation 2 spouse) lived to be 74 years old. He married Sprite Chun and had 3 children Boek, Story, and Fable (well sort of). He left behind 4 grandchildren Aria, Amadeus, Johann, and Cello. In his reign as legacy spouse he managed to maximize the sports hobby. He kept things real around here man…I’ll miss you loads.

Needless to say Johann was devastated. Although Amadeus didn’t take it very well either.

But Johann…it killed the poor guy.

Meadow: “You’re breaking up with me?”

Johann: “Meadow, you knew this was only a teenage fling. I’m not interested in being tied down and having a bunch of kids. I’m getting out of this place, and I don’t plan on coming back.”

Meadow: “What about the heirship?”

Johann: “Amadeus can have it.”

Yep Amadeus Chun is gonna take the reigns from here on out. I just couldn’t make poor Johannn move back into the house with his parents after college. It was just too cruel a fate for him. Thanks for reading!

Miri Tries a Legacy Challenge Chapter 8

Welcome back to Miriville folks. It’s been a bit I know. Ahem anyway we’re going to be making a quick stop over with the spares before we head back over to the main lot. I did a bit of playing with them you see so let’s see what I did with that lot.

Story has been going on vacations trying to collect all the vacation rewards. I’m glad I can take my time getting them because honestly I’m a little burned out on vacations.

You’ll also remember that my gen three spare decided to get married despite being a romance sim. Looks like she might be getting some cold feet here no?

She and Derek tie the knot though and the entire family was there to support them..

Well almost everyone. Fable never leaves his little lot. He calls to check in on folks though. I guess that counts?

Derek and Story have a honeymoon in Miriville…because like I said I was tired of doing vacations.

Plus Derek wanted to stick around town and help out his niece Aria who had somehow been swindled into buying a total piece of junk by some sleezy realtor.

He insisted on helping to pull the weeds out of the yard at least. “Aria, I’ll find a way to get you out of this.”
“It’s okay Uncle Derek. I’m really just glad to be out on my own. I love dad dearly, but he’s such a hermit. And I don’t know there’s something about this place. It breaks my heart to see it all run down. I bet the place could be beautiful.”

Aria had a long way to go of course before it would be even presentable, but she was determined to make this old house work. A little hard work couldn’t hurt her right?

It would be worth it someday…they’d see….

And over at the main house….*sigh*
Chloe do you ever do ANYTHING constructive?
“Oh hello creator. I was just looking at the stars. My Boek certainly loves them. You’re here to see how our children are doing?”
Wait you said children…what’s going on?

“Absolutely nothing. Amadeus and Johann are going into such handsome gentlemen.”
Even Amadeus?
“Yes, I admit it took some getting used to,but like Boek says we can train him up the right way. Nothing says he can’t be as civilized and cultured as a normal sim.”
Well I’m glad Boek talked to you…though I’m still not….never mind I’ll just go grab the rest of the footage and leave you to contemplate the heavens.

Well it seems that the two boys are getting along with one another. And you can see they are related. I still love I can still see Bev’s nose on these two.

They are even the first sim toddlers I’ve had a in a while that hug one another. Amadeus loves his little sim brother. Awwww..

Boek! That’s not way to treat your mother.
“What? She’s a plantsim…she can earn the skills back easy enough.”
That’s not the point. Use your inventions on the townies not on family.

Story and Derek come over a lot. Even Aria stops by every now and then.
Story loves to start dance partays….

“Hey Story you wanna have a baby?”

Oh my goodness Amadeus grew up to be so cute.
“He even drinks tea properly creator.”
Chloe none of my readers care about that.

Sprite is having to remaximize her mechanical skill thanks to a certain son of hers.

Boek really again?
“She’s got all night to earn them though.”
I’ll be so glad when you finally top science young man.

“That’s right son underwear and pajamas make sure that no creepy stalkers come into our house.”
I see Sullivan is making sure the next generation understands the finer points of home security.

Marsha seems to be immune to the tactic.
“I don’t understand it….this works on everyne else.”
“Perhaps it simply means grandfather that Miss Bruenig is not a stalker.”
“You may have a point there Amadeus.”

Johann grew up. But why have you been using the ballet bar?
“Mother says it’s dignified for young men to learn the fine arts.”
So she makes you take ballet?
“Unfortuntely, yes.”

Don’t you like sliding Johann?
“Of course I do! I just wish I could wear clothes like the rest of the kids. You know shorts, t-hirt, tennis shoes. ”
Yeah I imagine dressing like Alexander Goth gets old.

“Plus mother insists on us having formal family dinners. I have to wear a suit and tie everytime I eat.”
Sorry Johann.
“Can’t you have a word with her or something?”
Kiddo I think I was lucky to get your mom over her prejudices of sim aliens.

“Johann come and dance with us!”
“Deus nothing would make me happier. But our “mother” insists that I paint father’s portrait.”
“Now Johann be nice to your mom. And we can keep thisdance party goint till your done. Right Deus?”
“But of course.”

“This is so much better than ballet!”

The next day…
“So you’re saying you can’t grant my wish to give my grandson a pair of shorts, but you can give me peace of mind?”
“That is correct Master Sullivan.”
“Excatly how does that work?”
Wait a second…

No..go put that down.
“But I only need one more mechanical point.”
Then go use the bookshelf. It’s bad enough Chloe is lazy.
“Just one more….”
NO.

“Sullivan, it feels like it’s been ages since we spent any time together.”
“I know what you mean love bug. With all the formal dinners, and the grandkids, and the school plays, and the garden club meetings…”
“I’m glad we skipped dinner with the family tonight.”
“Me too.”

“It’s my birthday It’s my birthday.”
Yes it is.
“Miss Miri, I am formally requesting that I be given a drum kit.”
*blinks* What does your mother say about that?
“Do you not think she will approve?”
I don’t care…you can have one anyway.
“But if mother will be displeased…”
Never mind. Just enjoy the drum kit. Please.

“Headmaster we’re so pleased you could make it to Amadeus birthday today.”
“I was glad to be invited sir.”
